WHAT IS RADIO FREQUENCY SURGERY?

Usage of radio waves with a high frequency of 4.0 MHz is the foundation for RF surgery. This is initiated to generate very less temperature through RF microfiber electrodes. In this procedure, the tissue assists as resistance as opposed to electrodes. The water in the tissue intracellular takes the role of resisting and hence, as against in electro-surgery it disappears without any need for heating. This tissue treatment leads to haemostasis (seizure of bleeding) without damaging the tissue any further.

HOW DOES A RADIO FREQUENCY SURGERY TREATMENT WORK?

Our surgical methodology does not leave any visible scars when benign tissues are treated. The tissue or the mole is removed after anaesthesia is administered locally, underneath the area that has the growth.

Post-surgery, a wound is formed at the location of the growth. This wound does not bleed and it is of the same size as the removed growth. Subsequently a scab is formed, and after 7-10 days, a fresh layer of skin forms which in time acquires the same colour as the surrounding skin.

After removing the mole with this method, it can be sent for Histopathology (pathohistological) analysis to determine whether the change is benign. If not, further treatment is necessary.
