HOW DOES IT FEEL DURING THE TREATMENT?
Its relatively painless and most patients describe moderate and acceptable sensation as hitting with a rubber band with a sharp hot feeling.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Few burnt hairs and slight perifollicular redness are seen. The hair falls out in 1-3 weeks. During this periodthe hair comes out like its growing but in reality the dead hairs are being pushed by new epidermis. The hairs are loosened from its roots and can sometimes be easily pulled out by tweezers.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NECESSARY?
Only the growing hairs are affected, therefore multiple treatments are required. Treatment is conducted every 3-6 weeks until a satisfactory result is obtained. The number of treatments required varies, usually 6-10 sessions to yield maximum result.
SIDE EFFECTS?
The skin may become red immediately after treatment. Dark complexioned patients might experience some scabbing but they do resole in 3-4 days time. No permanent side effects is seen.
TIME TAKEN FOR EACH TREATMENT?
Treatment can take from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on which area is being treated.
