MESOTHERAPY
Mesotherapy (Greek ‘mesos’, middle, and ‘therapeia’, to treat medically) is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment. Mesotherapy employs multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into subcutaneous fat. Mesotherapy injections allegedly target adipose fat cells, apparently by inducing lipolysis, rupture and cell death among adipocytes.
Mesotherapy provides an intensive hydration and nutrition of the skin itself, and the ageing process is significantly slowed down.
The goal of mesotherapy in the skin rejuvenation process is to increase the activities of fibroblast, cells responsible for production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronan in the skin, and to apply full concentration of active substances necessary to regenerate healthy and youthful skin. With repeated procedures the depth of the wrinkles is reduced, the amount of collagen is increased and therefore the skin tone is improved.
WHAT IS PRP THERAPY?
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for hair loss is a three-step medical treatment in which a person’s blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp.
PRP injections trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. Sometimes this approach is combined with other hair loss procedures or medications
PRP THERAPY PROCESS
PRP therapy is a three-step process. Most PRP therapy requires three treatments 4–6 weeks apart.
Maintenance treatments are required every 4–6 months.
> Step 1:
Your blood is drawn — typically from your arm — and put into a centrifuge (a machine that spins rapidly to separate fluids of different densities).
> Step 2:
After about 10 minutes in the centrifuge, your blood will have separated into in three layers:
• platelet-poor plasma
• platelet-rich plasma
• red blood cells
> Step 3:
The platelet-rich plasma is drawn up into a syringe and then injected into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth.
PLASMOLIFTING(P.R.P)
• Hair loss
• Premature/ageing skin-facial rejuvenation
• Post acne/pitted scars
• Alopecia areata
• Hyperpigmentation
PLASMOLIFTING FOR HAIR
INJECTION HAIR GROWTH FACTOR
1) Collection of Blood-10-12 cc of blood is collected in 5ml BICAP sterile Tube vacutainer containing specifically concentrated activator.
2) Activation of Platelets-It is mixed by invereting gently 6-10 times and allowed to stand upright for 30 mins.
3) Separation of Growth factor Concentrate is achieved by Centrifuging tubes at 3400 rpm.
4) Collection of GFC-At the point of collectingGrowth Factor Concentrate (GFC) from the tubes, Tubes are inverted to allow GFC to collect at the cap of the tube.
5) Application- Collected GFC is injected intradernmally in the target areas of Scalp.
The above Procedure is repeated once monthly for 4-6 sessions to achieve better results.
Intradermal injections of a recombinant, bioengineered hair formulation, containing growth factors, into the scalp skin, for enhancement of hair regrowth.
Significant reduction in hair fall is seen in the patients on hair pull test. Image evaluation showed most patients had a decrease in the number of vellus hairs, increase in number of terminal hairs, and increase in shaft diameter. Majority of the patients believes that the hair injections were aiding the treatment of their hair loss, and it was also beneficial in post-hair transplant patients & treatment is well tolerated.
Intradermal injections of this hair formulation is a promising option for treating male as well as female patterns of hair loss.
Now we are also doing stem cell electrophoresis as the latest add on anti hair loss treatment.
